    Mrs. Charles Schuett

    Mrs. Edith Schuett of RR 1, West Montrose died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 81. Born in Maryhill, Mrs. Schuett was a member of St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, and the Christian Mothers' Society. The former Edith Kieffer, she was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Charles. She is survived by three sons, Clarence of West Montrose, Wilbert of Guelph and Carl of Kitchener and four daughters Mrs. Joseph (Loretta) Daub and Mrs. Hugo (Anna) Zettel, both of Kitchener, and Clara and Edith of West Montrose. One daughter, Mrs. Ted Grundy predeceased her. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Mary Seifried of Kitchener. There are 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The body is at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the rosary will be recited at 9 p.m. Wednesday. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9: 15 a..m. Thursday before requiem high mass at St. Boniface Church, Maryhill at 10 a.m. with Rev. J. H. Lawless officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Schuett, Clarence - Of Maryhill, at Grand River Hospital, K-W Health Centre, on Monday, July 10, 1995, aged 87 years. Clarence Schuett, a member of St. Boniface RC Church. A member of the Holy Name Society and also the choir of the church. Clarence was a retired farmer, farming in the Winterbourne area for many years. A past director of the North Waterloo Farmers Mutual Farm Insurance, one of the founding members of the North Waterloo Rural Soft Ball League, a volunteer driver for Meals on Wheels and an active bowler and horseshoe player. A very active member of the Maryhill Knights of Columbus, Council 6024 and a fourth degree member of the Father Funcken General Assembly and a past executive with the International Plowing Match Association. Son of the late Charles Schuett and the former Edith Kieffer. Loving brother of Wilbert of Guelph, Carl and his wife Theresa of Kitchener, Loretta Daub, Anna Zettel, all of Kitchener and Clara and Edith Schuett of Maryhill. Special uncle to Dianne Grundy of Vancouver and Betty and Jim Schweitzer of Kitchener. Very special grandpa to Melanie, Matthew and Meaghan Schweitzer and will be missed by many more nieces and nephews.     Mrs. Fred Grundy, 40, of R.R. 2, West Montrose, died Wednesday, September 13 at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener following an illness of six months. She was born at Salem on Nov. 15, 1909, a daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Charles Schuett. She attended St. Boniface R.C. Church, Maryhill. Surviving are her husband, whom she married 15 years ago at Waterloo; her parents at West Montrose; three sons, Frederick, Joseph and Gerald at home; three daughters, Caroline, Dianne, and Betty at home; three brothers, Clarence Schuett, West Montrose; Wilbert, Guelph, and Carl, Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph Daub, Miss Clara Schuett and Mrs. Hugo Zettle, all of Kitchener, and Miss Edith Schuett, West Montrose. The body was at the Gruhn Funeral Home, Kitchener from where the funeral was held Friday at 9: 15 a.m. to St. Boniface Church, Maryhill, for requiem high mass at 10 a.m. Rev. Joseph Diemert officiated. Burial was in Maryhill Cemetery.

    Clara passed away peacefully at her home, Twin Oaks of Maryhill on Friday, February 13th, 2015 in her 99th year. Clara grew up on the family farm outside Winterbourne. She also worked for many years at Merchants Printing doing bindery work. Clara enjoyed oil painting and decorating wedding cakes, travelling and helping out anyone in need of assistance. She also enjoyed visiting shut ins, sharing her cheery outlook on life. When the farm was sold in 1973, Clara moved to Maryhill with her sister Edith and brother Clarence. She was a member of St. Boniface RC Church and the C.W.L. and volunteered at her Church, singing in the choir and doing altar preparations and flowers with her sister Edith. She also volunteered at Twin Oaks, making numerous baby quilts for her extended family and Birthright and was a member of Right to Life and Meals on Wheels. She is survived by her brother Charles "Carl" and his wife Therese of Kitchener. She is loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. She is a special "Grandma" to Melanie, Matt and Meghan. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Edith (Keiffer) Schuett, her brothers Clarence and Wilbert (Margaret) and her sisters Marie Grundy (Ted), Loretta Daub (Joseph), Anna Zettel (Hugo) and Edith Schuett. Her family would like to thank all the staff at Countryside Retirement and Twin Oaks of Maryhill for the loving compassionate care given to Clara.

    Clara's family received relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm with parish prayers at 3 pm. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home this morning (Tuesday, February 17, 2015) at 9: 15 am followed by procession to St. Boniface R.C. Church 1354 Maryhill Rd., Maryhill, Ontario N0B 2B0 for the Funeral Mass at 10 am with Father Ronald Voisin officiating.     GRUNDY, Joseph W. "Joe" - On Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at his residence, 60 Bobolink Pl., Elmira, surrounded by family and friends, age 58 years. Joe is survived by his wife, Laurie; children, Camille St. Amand (Pierre), Josie (Chane), Kyle (Tricia), LeeAnn and Laura; grandchildren, Mitchell and Zackery St. Amand; brothers, Fred and Gerald; sisters, Diann and Betty. He was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Marie; sister, Carolyn. Well known in his community and beyond for his love of sports of all kinds, Joe will be particularly remembered for his many involvements in softball and hockey as a player, coach, sponsor and fan. There will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and friends to celebrate Joe's life will be held at the Elmira Arena (Joe's second home), 24 Snyder Ave. S., Elmira on Tuesday, May 23 at 7 p.m.

    ELIZABETH (BETTY) SCHWEITZER March 27, 1950 - May 11, 2009 It is with such sadness that the family announces the passing of a beautiful wife, loving mother and truly caring grandmother. Betty passed away at St. Mary's Hospital on May 11, 2009 at the age of 59. She fought long enough to spend Mother's Day with her family. She leaves behind her husband, Jim; her children, Melanie (Jeremy), Matt (Michlynn) and Meaghan (Tony); as well as her grandchildren, Mitchell, Connor, Timothy, Jake, Liam, Emma and Neve. Also survived by her sister, Diann Deary (Brian); brothers, Fred Grundy (Donna) and Gerry Grundy (Pat); and very special aunts, Edith and Clara Schuett, as well as numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, Ted Grundy and Marie (Schuett); sister, Carolyn Grundy; brother, Joe Grundy; and very special uncle, Clarence Schuett. With much grace, Betty fought a long and difficult battle against Multiple Sclerosis. The family invites you to celebrate Betty's life on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at David MacLeod Funeral Home , 617 King St. N., Waterloo, with visitation starting at 10 a.m. followed by a prayer service with Father Robert Hétu in the funeral home chapel at 12 noon. Cremation has taken place.     KELLY, Carol Anne (nee Zettel) March 20, 1947 - February 1, 2011 Carol died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Carol lived with pancreatic cancer for 2.5 years and like everything she did in life, she met death with dignity and grace. Carol leaves behind her husband, Gerald Kelly, her four children, Kristie (Edward), Katie (Eric), James (Laura), Jonny (Julie-Anne) and nine beautiful grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Bob Zettel (Helen) and a wonderfully supportive community of family, friends, and neighbours. Predeceased by her parents Hugo and Anna Zettel.     Misselbrook, Sarah (nee Grundy) - After a courageous battle with heart disease, on December 30, 2005 she passed away, surrounded by her loving family, in her 31st year. People knew Sarah as a generous and loving soul, with a beautiful smile. She loved being with her family and friends but most of all, she loved the time she spent with her loving husband, Bob. For many years, people came to the Charcoal Steak House and experienced her warm and inviting presence. Sarah will be missed by her loving husband, Bob; her parents, Gerald and Patricia Grundy; her sister, Carolyn (Mike) Laurie and her brothers, David (Dana) and Robert. She will be sadly missed by her mother-in-law, Betty Misselbrook; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Ron) Miller and Barbie (Steven) McKellar and nieces and nephews, Carly, Rachelle, William, Elizabeth, Christine, Magdalena and Cohen and her grandmother, Katherine Kroetsch. Predeceased by her twin sister, Monica (1978); father-in-law, William and her grandparents, Florence and Elmer Kroetsch and Fred and Marie Grundy. Sarah's family received relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener (749-8467) Monday from 7-9 p.m. and will receive them today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral for Sarah will take place at St. James Rosemount United Church (171 Sherwood Ave., Kitchener) on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery.     As I sit here beside you, I feel at peace but I feel sad that there will be so many people who will never know you existed. May this little note I write, let everyone know that there once was a Monica - a little girl who was so full of life at three years old, who got into mischief, who told her daddy "I like you so much." She had no time to show some of the great things that people are capable of, but she fulfilled her role in life. She showed me how to live and now how to die. As I hold you in my arms these last moments, I am at peace knowing that I shall see you again    .
