  Abel Ross, painter and decorator and resident of Vancouver for 36 years, died today at his residence, 2616 Main street. Besides his wife, Mr. Ross leaves three sons. R. N. and C. O. of Vancouver for 36 years, died Wednesday at his Powell River, of and three daughters. Mrs. T. Silcox. Mrs. J. Smith and Mrs. A. Buck of Alameda, Calif. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Harron Bros. & Williamson's chapel, under auspices of K. P. Lodge No. 11. Interment will be made in the family plot, Mountain View cemetery. The Vancouver Sun,Thu, Mar 24, 1927 Page 20 _________________ Abel Ross, Pioneer Resident of Mount Pleasant, Is Dead Thirty-six years a resident of Mount Pleasant district, Abel Ross aged 66, of 2616 Main street, passed away Wednesday at the General Hospital. He was a native of Ontario. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, R. A. and C. O., both members of the Vancouver fire department, and A. A. Ross of Powell River, and three daughters, Mrs. T. Silcox and Mrs. J. Smith of Vancouver, and Mrs. A. M. Buck of Alameda. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Knights of Pythias Hall, Eighth avenue and Scotia street, under the auspices of the Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 11. Rev. A. E. Mitchell will officiate and interment will be in the family plot, Mountain View Cemetery. Harron Bros. & Williamson are in charge of arrangements.
