Rev. Jerome Ruth officiated yesterday at the marriage of Miss Bernice Angela Fischer, Reg.N., daughter of Mrs. Caroline C. Fischer, 11 Willow St., Waterloo, and the late Dr. William J. Fischer, to Mr. Harold Joseph McDermott, 108 Albert St., Waterloo, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Patrick McDermott, in St. Louis R.C. rectory, Waterloo.
A heavenly blue crepe afternoon dress made with a cascading 'skirt and matching imported lace trimming, fuchsia bat wad long gloves and corsage of American beauty roses were chosen by the bride.
Miss Agnes Fischer, Waterloo, attended her She wore a loganberry shade crepe frock with silver bead trim, gray hat and accessories and corsage of Schram pink roses.
Duties of best man were performed by Mr. Frank McDermott, brother of the bridegroom.
A wedding breakfast was served following the ceremony at the Pines Inn. A reception for 45 guests will be held later. The bride's mother wore a sapphire blue taconne crepe frock, matching accessories and corsage of better times roses. Mrs. Thomas MeGuire, sister of the bridegroom, chose a black crepe dress, with gold trim, and similar corsage.
For travelling, the bride donned a hunter's green dress, loganberry, shade tuxedo coat trimmed with Persian lamb fur, and black accessories. On their return from a trip to Detroit, the couple will reside at 5 Cedar St. West, Waterloo.
