Notes |
- EBY, Brian Patrick Husband, Father, Son, Uncle, Friend, Lawyer, Magician, Coach and City Worker, Brian Patrick Robert Eby passed away with his family at his side, in Kitchener, his birthplace and home town, on October 25, 2011. A student of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, and the law, Brian and his loving wife and partner Laura Eby (nee Keates) successfully raised four wilful children without the benefit of corporal punishment. He owned his own draught beer machine. Winner of the first ever Lawyer of the Year Award from the Kitchener Waterloo Bar Association, and often a nominee for "Best Dressed Lawyer", Brian had a prominent legal career in Kitchener with the firm Ludwig, Lichtenheldt and Eby. Brian's life lessons and good looks live on in his children, Matthew Alexander Brian, Patrick John Francis Felix, Meaghan Christine Ann, and David Robert Patrick. He will be sorely missed by his mother, Patricia Eby (nee McGarry and wife of Robert Eby who passed away in 2008) and his four sisters Shawn Patrice Eby, Kevin Ann Reinhart, Roberta Jane Borillo, and Mary Pat Alarie and their families. The Eby family thanks the kind people at Sunnyside Home in Kitchener for their exceptional and compassionate care for Brian. Brian's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, October 27, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish prayers at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home at 10:20 a.m. on Friday, October 28, 2011 followed by procession to St. Anthony Daniel Church, 29 Midland Dr., Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Fr. Earl Talbot officiating. Reception to follow in the Parish Life Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Sunnyside Home Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Visit www.henrywalser.com for Brian's memorial.
