  CHARLES SCHMIDT By Record Correspondent MILVERTON, May 12.-Charles Schmidt, 80, of Concession 2. Lot 3. Mornington, died at his home here Sunday night after a second stroke. Born in Preston in October, 1862, he married Elizabeth Poppert of Ellice 55 years ago. His first wife died in 1912 and later he married Mrs. Andrew Kress. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Grieve Schmidt, he resided in Mornington since 1913. He was a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters and of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Milverton. Surviving, besides his wife, are one son, George, of Calgary; one daughter. Mrs. E. H. (Dorothy) Gropp. Milverton; one sister. Mrs. Elizabeth Joel Gatcke: and four grandchildren and one great-grand-child. Three daughters, five brothers and two sisters predeceased him. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
