      The death occurred in South Waterloo Memorial hospital on Tuesday of Mrs, James M. Scott, Galt, in her 78th year

      The former Katharine Mathison, she was born at Reidsville, a daughter of the late William Mathison and Louisa Rae. Following her marriage, she lived for many years on the Greenfield Road, northeast of Ayr.

      Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Cox (Edith) of Wasstead, Ont., and Mrs. Alvin Waterman ( Louise) of Grandam, Sask.; one brother, James A, Mathison of Ayr. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive, Funeral arrangements are in charge of Coutts Funeral Home, Galt.
