  DIED AT BROCKVILLE. A Kingston Lady Meets Death While Visiting a Sister. The relatives of Miss Lucy Betts, Calderwood, received the sad intelligence of her death at Brockville last evening. The sudden news was indeed a severe shock, as Miss Betts left for the Island city ten days ago in perfect health, to spend a few weeks with her sister. Mis (Rev.) O G. Dobbs. Last Monday she contracted a cold which settled on her lungs, and developed into pneumonia. With wonderful rapidity the dread affliction wasted away her strength, and naught could stay the hand of death. The deceased lady was the second daughter of Mrs. Betts, Calderwood, and dwelt at home with her mother. Her memory will be long cherished by the poor of the city, for whom she was ever ready to devote her energies and assistance. The body will be brought to the city for burial.
