  Mackenzie King preferred the name Berlin, and other finds in Laurier's new online collection WATERLOO REGION - One interesting fact gleaned from Laurier University's new digitized collection of William Lyon Mackenzie King's correspondence with a Kitchener mayor is the prime minister really liked russet pears. Or, at the very least Charles Mortimer Bezeau, Kitchener's mayor from 1931-32, liked sending them to him.
