- Cambridge man killed trying to cross railway tracks
CAMBRIDGE - A 22-year-old Cambridge man was killed early Saturday after being hit by a train in Cambridge.
Waterloo Regional Police Staff Sgt. Alison Bevington said Christopher Morrison McGlynn had been out with a friend at a local establishment prior to his death. He left and was walking in the area of Bond Street , near Samuelson Street, around 1: 20 a.m. when he tried to cross a set of railway tracks. He was hit by a westbound Canadian Pacific Railway freight train and killed instantly. There are four tracks in the intersection, which are marked by gates and lights, however it's unclear if McGlynn was hit at the intersection or somewhere else along the tracks....
