- Martin.- David A. B., son of Amos and Elizabeth (Brubacher) Martin, was born near St. Jacobs, Ont., Aug. 25, 1903; died at St. Jacobs, of asthma and a heart condition, June 9, 1969; aged 65 y. 9 m. 15 d. On May 6, 1934, he was married to Susannah Martin, who survives. Also surviving are 6 children (Rebecca, Peter, Leah, Lena, Noah, and Susannah) and 4 stepchildren (Elizabeth, Tilman, Mary, and Aaron). He was a member of the St. Jacobs Church, where funeral services were held June 12, with Glenn Brubacher and Simon Martin officiating.

David A.B. Martin of St. Jacobs died Monday at his home. He was 65. Born in Wallenstein Aug. 5, 1903, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Amos A. Martin. He retired from farming in 1964 and moved to St. Jacobs. He was a member of the St. Jacobs Mennonite Church. A brother and a sister predeceased him. Surviving are his wife the former Susannah Martin; four sons, Tilman of Montreal, Aaron of RR 3, Waterloo, Peter of RR 2, Brussels, Noah of Heidelberg, six daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Elizabeth) Bauman of RR 2, Wallenstein, Mrs. Gordon (Mary) Bauman of RR 2, Drayton, Mrs. Aden H. (Rebecca) Bauman of Elmira, Mrs. John (Leah) Boehm of RR 1, St. Jacobs, Mrs. Dirk (Lena) Stegers of Ailsa Craig, Mrs. David (Susannah) Shantz of RR 4, Kitchener, three brothers, Ezra of RR 1, St. Clements, Daniel of RR 3, Waterloo, Amos of RR 1, St. Jacobs; three sisters, Mrs. John (Lovina) Brubacher of RR 3, Wallenstein, Mrs. Josiah (Rebecca) Martin of Hawkesville, Mrs. Ezra (Betsy) Wideman of RR 1, St. Jacobs, and 31 grandchildren. The body was at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, until Thursday when it was moved to St. Jacobs Mennonite Church where Rev. Glenn Brubacher conducted funeral service at 3 p.m. Burial was in St. Jacobs Mennonite cemetery.
