  David E. Stuempfle David E. Stuempfle, 61, of RR 4, Kitchener, died today at his home after three months illness. Born in Bentinck Township, near Elmwood, Aug. 4, 1892, he was a son of the late Frederick Stuempfle and Elizabeth Schlorff. He was a retired salesman. Mr. Stuempfle attended St. James's Lutheran Church, Mannheim. Surviving are his wife, the former Edith Harnack, whom he married in Walkerton in 1927; two daughters, Mrs. Gordon, (Joyce) Kilborn of Kitchener and Virginia at home; one brother, Herman of Elmwood; three sisters, Mrs. John (Annie) Subject and Mrs. Arthur (Emma) Leifso of Elmwood and Mrs. William (Marie) Machesney of Kitchener and two grandchildren. One brother, Fred, died in 1947. The body is resting at the Gruhn Funeral Home where the funeral will be Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery with Rev. D. J. Glebe officiating.
