Notes - DEPPISCH, David Lloyd George June 16, 1929 - January 27, 2014 Passed away after a very brief illness at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener, age 84. Very deeply missed and loved by his wife Laura Anne nee Gross, and daughters Linda Deppisch of Mississauga, Teresa and Michele Gesuale of Lakeshore, and Joan Matiuska of St. Clair Beach. Beloved grandfather of Aaron, Sarah, Jessica, Katharine, Christina, Robert and Allison. Great-grandfather of Jordan. Will be missed by brothers Jack and James Deppisch, both of Penticton, B.C., and sister Elizabeth Selinger of Etobicoke. Son of the late Leona Deppisch. Dave was Past Grand Knight of the Waterloo Knights of Columbus - Council #5135, former District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus District #35, Past President of the following organizations: Waterloo Knights Inc., St. Agatha Children's Village, Kitchener - Conestoga Rotary Club, Kitchener - Conestoga Probus Club, Kitchener - Waterloo Business and Professional Men's Club, Kitchener Downtown Business Association, and R.A.I.S.E. Home Support for the Elderly, member of the Kitchener - Waterloo Serra Club, Past Chairman of Sacred Heart Parish Council and the Sacred Heart Finance Council. Dave worked for 47 years in the men's and women's retail clothing business. David was an avid reader, bridge player, gardener, enjoyed swimming in his pool and spending time with his family. Dave's witty sense of humour will be missed by his friends and family. Friends are invited to share their memories of Dave with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 66 Shanley St., Kitchener on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. with the Bishop Ustrzycki and Rev. Stan Zaryczny as co-celebrants. Interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Kitchener. Reception in the Fireside Reception Room of the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church and may be arranged through the funeral home at www.erbgood.com or 519.745.8445.
