  When David Stanley Jackson started in the drug business in 1925 his first location was where Brix. Barber Shop is now and later he moved across the street into the present Charlton & Hurst store. About the year 1945, Mr. Jackson bought what had formerly been the Commercial Hotel barn - a fine stone structure built about one hundred years ago and this he converted into one of the finest drug stores in the district and much credit is due him for having done so. He did not come among us as an entire stranger because his father, as a boy, had worked around this district before he went to Wiarton where Stan was born. When he first opened for business, Harry Franks helped him unpack and worked part time as a drug clerk for him for two or three years and ever since then, full time.
