  KNECHTEL, Dorothy Valtina (Erb) - Beloved wife of Joseph Knechtel, of RR1, Breslau for 70 years. Daughter of the late Lloyd and Elizabeth Erb. Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 11, 2006, in her 93rd year. Loving mother of Glenn (Janet) and Joan Knechtel, all of RR1, Breslau. Grandmother of Douglas (Raffina) of Cambridge, Kim (Jeff Brenner) of RR7, Guelph, Tim (Tammy) of Georgetown and Lisa (Tim Koch) of Nithburg. Predeceased by her grandson Gary Knechtel (1976). Beloved great-grandma of Amy and Shereen Knechtel, Drew Rees-Brenner, Nicole Brenner, Thomas Katelyn and Kalea Knechtel and Dean and Erin Koch. Sister of Raymond (Jean) Erb of Waterloo and the late Russell Erb. Dorothy and her husband farmed at Kitchener and later Breslau until her death. She was an avid horsewomen and life-time member of Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church. Dorothy's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral service 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church, (160 Lancaster St. E., Kitchener). Pastor Bill Anderson officiating. Interment Manheim Cemetery.
