  ANGOI, Eligio "Luigi" Luigi Sangoi of Waterloo, died on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Freeport Health Centre in his 88th year. Husband of Norma (nee Wadel) for 59 years. Father and grandfather to son Pierre (Tammy) and children Amanda, Justin (Karen) and Jordan; and daughter Yvette (Ric) and children Cara-Mae (Tony) and Leah (Patrick). Proud great-grandfather to Torin and Talia. He will also be mourned by cousin Vanda Di Guisto, family in Toronto and nieces and nephews in Italy and Argentina. Born in Gemona del Friuli, Italy on September 29, 1925. Luigi was predeceased by parents Anna (nee Londero) and Pietro, as well as siblings Michaele, Santina and Maria. After his time as an army cook during WWII, his travels eventually brought him to Canada where he worked for 34 years at Seagrams until retirement. Luigi always enjoyed a scratch ticket, a laugh and a drink with his friends, especially at the Navy Club. He will be missed by all those who knew him because he was a friend to everyone and loved by many. His loving heart and sharp wit will not be forgotten. Friends are invited to share their memories of Luigi with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King Street South, Waterloo on Monday, June 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel of the funeral home on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home. Cremation to follow.
