- ALLGEIER, Elizabeth (Betty) The Lord called home Elizabeth Amelia (Schneider) Allgeier on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. Betty resided at the Village of University Gates and was formerly of Morningside Village, New Hamburg. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald E. Allgeier (2015). Survived by her sister Mildred (Don) Kraft and brother Howard (Cathy) Schneider. Left to mourn her passing are numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her parents Edward and Emma (Rueffer) Schneider. Betty lived a full and active life. She began her professional career at Caya and loved the world of interior design and decorating. She was active in her church Historic St. Paul's and later St. Peter's in New Hamburg. Betty also played an instrumental role as secretary for the steering committee for Luthervillage and was involved in the Morningside Community in New Hamburg. Betty was happiest when planning social engagements, decorating and entertaining. Visitation will take place at Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 137 Queen Street, S. Kitchener on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Roger Winger officiating. Interment at First Union Cemetery, Elmira. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer's Society, Institute for Research (Powers) and the Lutheran Hour would be greatly appreciated. We wish to express all our gratitude for the incredible care that Betty has received at University Gates (Wright Neighbourhood).
