  Ella Erma Schaefer passed away at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Friday, September 4, 2015, at the age of 94 years. Loving wife of the late Gerald Gordon (Benny). Dear mother of Jerry, Bonnie, and Brenda. Survived by her daughter Brenda and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Hugo and Martha Hertrich, all of her brothers and sisters, her husband, her son Jerry, daughter Bonnie and her great-granddaughter Ava. Special thank you to her caregivers, Lisa and Dayna. Also, thank you to Janet and Shamim for their excellent care and compassion, along with the 6th floor nursing staff at Grand River Hospital. Thank you to Extend-A-Family for your ongoing support over the past 5 years. A private family funeral was held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo. Interment took place at Memory Gardens in Breslau.
