BRUDER, Elmer Anton Passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital, Kitchener on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Cathy (Hergott) 55 years. Loving father of Michael (LeeAnne), Tom (Connie), Mark (Susan), and Sharon Diemert (Darryl). Adoring grandfather of Cole, Jade, Isaac, Leah, Jacob, Kyle, Amanda, Jeffery, Carolyn, Laura and John. Elmer is survived by his sister, Helen Dorsch (late Earl), Arthur Bruder (late Eva), sister-in-law Phyllis Haley and brothers-in-law Vincent (Joan) Hergott and Doug (Marie) Hergott. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph Bruder and Matilda (nee Borho); Sister Mary Bruder, Leonard (Eileen) and Herbert Bruder (Margaret), Frances Reinhart (Simon), and brothers-in-law, Richard Hergott, and Leonard Hergott. Elmer will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and all his friends. Elmer farmed in Maryhill along with his three brothers at Marwood Farms Ltd. He was a long standing member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local no. 562. Elmer enjoyed tinkering in his shop at home working on various sheet metal projects. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and playing cards with his friends at the community center. He was a member of St. Boniface Parish, Maryhill and a proud member of the Maryhill Knights of Columbus. A special thanks to Dr. Stephen Keleher, Dr. Darindra Gopaul and Dr. Stacey Hubay and all the nurses at Grand River Hospital for the fantastic care you gave to our husband/father. Elmer's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 A Vigil for Elmer will take place at 3 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Boniface Church, Maryhill, at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 with Rev. Ronald Voisin officiating. Interment, St. Boniface Cemetery.
