Portraits of King Edward VII and Queen Mary are displayed along everything needed to prepare meals: notice the fine display of rolling pins at right and the precariously stacked cans and bowls atop the shelves. Shantz was a grocer in the 1901-1906 era but achieved greater success as an auctioneer and real estate agent into the 1950s.
