  Pitz, Elsie - At Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Thursday, January 6, 2000, age 90 years. Mother of Phyllis Taggart of Vernon, B.C., Deline Snowdon of Cambridge, Audrey Suchostawsky of Kitchener; step-mother of Melbourne Pitz and his wife Ruth, Clifford Pitz and his wife Erma of Kitchener, and Gerald Pitz and his wife Violet of High River, Alta. She is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Veronica Wilinsky of Kitchener. She was predeceased by her husband, Eli Pitz; two sons, Gordon and William Pitz; one step-son, Kenneth; four brothers; three sisters and her parents, Katherine Fries and Henry Plate. Mrs. Pitz was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran church in Kitchener. A memorial service for relatives and friends will be held in the chapel of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Kitchener on Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at 1 pm, with Rev. David Malina officiating. Cremation has taken place. Following the service, friends and relatives are invited to remain at St. Mathew Lutheran Church for refreshments and a time to visit. Donations to Freeport Health Centre would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged through the Edward R. Good funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, 745-8445.
