  ELTON SAUDER, lumberman dies at 85 Funeral will be held Thursday for lumberman Elton L. (Fred) Sauder, who died Monday at 85. Mr. Sauder was born in Ontario and moved to Vancouver in 1925 after being general manager of a Winnipeg paint and glass firm. He founded the E. L. Sauder Lumber Co. Ltd. here shortly afterward. The firm became a leading Western Canada manufacturer and distributor finished lumber and interiors. Mr. Sauder was a long-time member of Vancouver Kiwanis Club and supported charitable and educational activities in B.C. FAMILY: His wife, Margaret; a son William, and a daughter, Mrs. Murray MacKenzie, all of Vancouver. SERVICE: Thursday, 2:30 p.m., Shaughnessy Heights United Church.
