- Injuries Of Auto Mishap Prove Fatal
Emit Kienapple, 152 Erb street, who was seriously injured Monday night when struck by a car driven. by Walter Mickus, William street, died at the Kitchener. Waterloo hospital last night at 9.20. Dr. A, L. Wellman, coroner, who examined the body, said death was caused by a fractured skull. Kienapple was 42 years of age.
An inquest will be held at the council chamber in the Waterloo town hall, next Tuesday at 2 o'clock. Chief Clarke said today that as yet no charges had been laid against MIckus other than one under the Highway Traffic Act, of operating a car without a license.
Hit On Erb St.
Kienapple was struck as he was walking across Erb street west. the mishap occurring between Charles and Rudy streets. Mickus was driving west on Erb street. According to police, Mickus declares he did not see Kienapple. It is said that the spot where Kienapple was hit is shaded by trees. Kienapple carried for about 15 feet on the bumper of the car after being struck.
Kienapple is survived by his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs, Fred Kienapple, three brothers, Fred of Josephsburg, Joseph of Waterloo. Leander of Josephsburg, and two sisters, Mrs. Fred Meirowski (Rose) of Kitchener and Mrs. Irvin Wager (Orillia), of St Agatha.
The funeral will be held Friday morning from 30 Fisher street, Kitchener, to St. Louis church Waterloo at 9 o'clock, Interment will be made at St. Agatha
