- Mrs. John H. Doerr, 67, of 20 John St. West, Waterloo, died yesterday in K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. The former Emily I. Ewen, she was born in Elora, but had lived in the Twin Cities for more than 50 years. She was a member of Alma Street United Brethren Church. She and Mr. Doerr were married in 1913. Surviving are her husband, one son, John G. Doerr of Windsor, and two daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Nora) Rau of Windsor and Mrs. Arthur (Nina) Stevens of Waterloo. Also surviving are a brother, George Ewen of Toronto, and six sisters, Mrs. Amos Wilker of Baden, Mrs. Clayton Doerr of Saskatoon, Sask., Mrs. Clarence Milburn of Windsor, Mrs. Albert Miller and Mrs. Norma McLean, both of Detroit, and Mrs. Clarence Schnarr of Sarnia. There are 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until Thursday at 2 p.m. when a service will be conducted by Rev. A. Ward Woolner. Burial will be in First Mennonite Cemetery.
