    • DR. E. PEARSON JAMES, of Galt, was found dead in his office on March 27th. Death was due to heart disease. Dr. James graduated in Toronto in 1902, and was a member of the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons. At the time of his death he was thirty-three years of age.

      Ephraim Pearson James was born at Campbellford on September 22, 1878, son of George James and Harriett Fraser. He matriculated from
      the Galt Collegiate High School in 1897; and entered into the study of his chosen profession at the University of Toronto, where he achieved
      his Medical Degree in 1902. He remained a bachelor. Initially, he served as Surgeon for four years on a transatlantic steamer and for the
      last six years he established himself in the practice of medicine at Galt where he died in his office on March 27, 1912, aged 33 years, 6 months
      and 5 days.

      Ephraim Pearson James was born at Campbellford on September 22, 1878, son of George James and Harriett Fraser.       JAMES EPHRIAM PEARSON
      was a graduate of the University of Toronto in 1902, and settled in Galt by 1903. He undertook postgraduate studies in Europe, as shown by his February 7, 1907 card in the Galt Weekly Reformer.

      Dr. Pearson James. Graduate Course Toronto, Postgraduate Course New York, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Paris, Berlin and Vienna. Offices Commercial Building, South Water St.

      The only other references to him were concerned with his death, in one of which he was referred to as "one of Galt's best known medical men." He died suddenly of heart disease, on March 27. 1912, aged 33 years.

      Galt Physician Dead.

      Galt, Ont., March 28.-Last evening Dr. E. Pearson James, M.D., one of Galt's best known medical men, was found dead in his office on Water street, lying on the floor. North Dr. Vardon, who was immediately called, pronounced death to be due to heart failure.

      PHYSICIAN FOUND DEAD.

      Sudden Death of Dr. E. Pearson James, of Galt.

      A despatch from Galt says: Dr. E. Pearson James, aged thirty- three, was found on Wednesday night dead in his office on Water street north. It was noticed that the usual light was not in the surgery, and when the police, who had been notified, entered they found the body stretched rigid on the floor. Coroner Dr. Vardon stated that death was due to heart disease, the end being likely brought on by a sudden convulsion.
