- Ernest Palmer Aitken died last, night in Hamilton an illness of the last three years. He lived at 52. Ottawa Street South. Born in Parkhill, Ontario, 79 years ago, he had been resident of Hamilton since 1943. He was an employee of the Canadian Pacific Railway for 43 years, working out of Winnipeg as a train baggage man at the time of his retirement in 1943. He was member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, and an adherent of Delta United Church. Surviving besides his wife, the former Anna Dempsey, are two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Hulme of Vancouver. and Mrs. George Knowles of Unity, Sask.; two nieces and one nephew. The body is at the Brown Brothers Funeral Home for service on Monday at 1.30 p.m. Burial will, be in Preston Cemetery.
