- JARDINE, Erskine S
Formerly of 1450 Eleanor Ave., Cambridge, on Wednesday, July 7, 1993, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 98th year. Beloved husband of the late Florence Yates (1991), dear brother of Mrs. Mary Dolson of Stratford, Mrs. Elva Batez of Kitchener and Mrs. Jessie MacLeod of Cambridge. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother and father, two brothers, Lloyd and Howard and one sister, Frances. Erskine was born in North Dumfries and lived all his life in the Cambridge area. A retired wood-worker from Royal Metal Industries, Galt and a member of Knox Galt Presbyterian Church. A veteran of the 1st W.W., went overseas with the 111th Battalion and transferred to the 4th Battalion. Also serving in the 2nd W.W. in the Veteran's Guard and a member of the Galt Royal Canadian Legion Branch 121. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Friday, July 9, 1993, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral and Committal Services will be held at the Funeral Home, on Saturday, July 10, 1993, at 1: 30 p.m., with Reverend Herb Hartig officiating. Interment in Mount View Cemetery.
