• Notes

  Ezekiel Metzker, one of our popular colored barbers, died of typhoid fever, in this city, on Friday night and was buried at 4 o'clock on Saturday evening. The Metzker family have been terribly afflicted for the past three or four weeks. Five members of the family have been prostrated by typhoid fever, two having died since our last issue.
