THE LATE MR. EZRA TRASK.
It was with regret that relatives and friends here learned that a native of this district, Mr. Ezra W. Trask, died at his home in Kitchener, last Friday, July 8th, after a brief illness. He was in his 79th year. His parents were the late Simeon Trask and Mary Tyack. The Trask family homestead on the 10th Maryborough just west of Drayton is now owned by Mr. Carl Groshaw. Mr. E. W. Trask farmed for a time on the 12th Maryborough and before the days of the motor car conducted a flourishing livery stable in Drayton. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity, which he joined in Western Canada. He was an ardent lawn bowler and curler. His wife, the former Nettie Schade, survives, along with one brother, Guy, of Stratford, who was in Vancouver on hearing of his brother's death and came east by plane. A sister (Clara) Mrs. Emerson G. Henry of Drayton, and two brothers, Oliver of Western Canada, and Emes of Ohio, predeceased him. Sympathy goes out to and survivors. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at the Schreiter-Sandrock funeral home at 3:30 p.m., with Rev. A. F. Gardner, pastor of the Drayton United Church, officiating. Interment was in Mount Hope cemetery.
