  HOOKUMCHAND, Fitzroy (Roy) Passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 14, 2002, surrounded by love. Beloved husband of Mona; dearest father of Sherry, Susan, Brian and Joanne Hookumehand. Special brother to Edith, Esther and Ronald; dear brothers-in-law, Vibert Nlohabeer and Ahibal Sankar. Roy was the founder and secretary of the Ontario Cage Bird Society, since 1974 and he touched so many through-out his lifetime, with his kind heart and more so due to his love for birds. He was known as "The Birdman" for his vast knowledge and breeding practices, raising several hundreds of birds, which was his well known hobby. Roy was a strong and knowledgeable man, who was admired by all who knew him and he will be sadly missed by his many family members and friends throughout the World. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St.. Cambridge on Thursday and Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at Forward Baptist Church, 455 Myers Rd., Cambridge on Saturday, July 20, 2002, at 11 a.m. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.
