- KAUFMAN, Frederich J. Peacefully, on Sunday, March 20, 2005 at Freeport Health Care Centre, Frederich John Kaufman, of Wellesley.
Fred was born in West Zorra 86 years ago. He was the son of the late Walter Kaufman and the late Alice Chaukley. Mr. Kaufman was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wellesley. He was a member of the Wellesley Jolly Oldsters and a charter member of the Wellesley and District Lions Club and a Member of the Wilhot Masonic Lodge No. 318. Fred was a Cheese and Butter Maker with J.M. Schneiders Cheese Factory in Wellesley retiring in 1977.
Dear father of Joel and his wife Linda Kaufman of Kitchener; father-in-law of Lorna Kaufman of Woodstock. Dear brother of Joyce Youngblut of Tavistock; brother-in-law of Grace and her husband Dave Lumpton of New Hamburg. Proud grandpa of Shannon and her husband Eric Anderson. Kimberly and husband Dave Kennedy, Richard and Cathy, Tim and Carolyn and Dan and Melissa. Great-grandpa of Spencer, Emma, Sara, Laurene-Marie and Emma.
Predeceased by his loving wife Peg. 1998; son, Wayne, 1986; daughter, Mary, 1993 and a grandson Bradley, 1997; also by a brother, Ray Kaufman.
Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 1172 Henry St. in Wellesley, where family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Mark's Lutheran Church on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Don Thomas will officiate. Spring interment in St. Mark's Lutheran Cemetery, Wellesley.
