Fred stepped into the Lord's presence in the early hours of June 13th, at his residence, The Village of Winston Park, Kitchener, at the age of 93.
Beloved husband of the late June Marion (Koepke) for 67 years. He will be ever loved and missed by his children, Bill (Carol) of Manitoba, John (Ella mae) of Kitchener and Sharon Ferreira of Toronto. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Dave (Jennifer), Tim (Alison), Mark (Leeann), Denise Mazik (Kelvin), Jeff (Susan), Luke Ferreira (Hayley Freeman), Jacqueline Ferreira (Jacub Gagnon) and his 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Ross (Leda) and Jim (Marilyn).
He is predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Anna Lehman and his sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Harold Dyer.
Fred is in the care of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Friends and family are invited to share memories on Tuesday June 17, 2014 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday June 18, 2014 from 10-10:45 am followed by a funeral service to celebrate Fred's life and faith, in the funeral home chapel, at 11 am officiated by Rev. Denise Mazik. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church, Kitchener or to the Mennonite Central Committee would be a blessing to many (cards available at the funeral home).
