- Ontario Man Drops Dead On 9th Ave.
Fred Lashbrook, of Galt, Ont., Succumbed Suddenly on Saturday Night
Fred Lashbrook, aged 67 years, boot and shoe manufacturer, of Galt, Ontario, dropped unconscious on the steps of the Palliser hotel, at 10:30 o'clock, Saturday evening, and died a few minutes later.
Dr. O'Sullivan, the hotel physician, was summoned, but the man passed away before medical aid could be given. The body was removed to the Foster and Foster funeral home. No inquest will be held, as it has been established that Mr. Lashbrook succumbed to a heart attack.
Mr. Lashbrook had spent the even-ing with some friends in the hotel, and a few mautes before 10:30 o'clock, he walked up to the desk and told the clerk he wasn't feeling very well and thought he would go outside to get a little fresh air.
Just as he reached the steps he collapsed, and died a few minutes later.
His relatives in Eastern Canada have been notified.
