  VERO, Geoffrey October 30, 1929 - January 15, 2013. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Geoff, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, with his family by his side. Survived by loving wife and best friend Shirley Vero (nee Bolender) (Gobbo), his dear children Jane Ball (John) and Philip Vero (Janine Peck), stepsons Jeff Gobbo and Todd Gobbo (Kelly Fitzgerald). Beloved Grandpa to Michael, Jonathan, Samantha, Joshua, Paige, Jennifer, Julian, Darien, and Matthew. Also survived by sisters-in-law Judith Hanlan (Fraser MacKenzie) and Lynn Markle (Harold), nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was a member of the C.A.T.C.C., Kinsman Club of Preston, the K-40 Club, St. John's Anglican Church and former member of the Preston Operatic Society. Geoff led a very active life and enjoyed skiing, curling, golfing, loved playing bridge and he especially enjoyed summer vacations at the family cottage at Kamamiskeg. Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life during the Memorial Service on Friday, January 18, 2013, 11: 00 a.m at Saint John's Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge.
