  SHANNON, GEORGE CARROLL received his degree form Victoria University in 1857. He is listed in New Hamburg in an 1857-8 directory, and the Berlin Telegraph on June 6, 1856 noted that he had attended an accident victim in New Hamburg. An account of a public supper reported in the Galt Reporter of April 30, 1858 said he proposed a toast. The Huron Signal of February 8, 1860 had his card C. C. Shannon M. D. Physician Surgeon &c Goderich C. W. This was the scene of his future practice. Dr. Alexander D. Campbell, Doctors in Waterloo County 1852-1925, 1986 _______ Dr. G. C.
