  McCARTHY, George - At St. Raphael's Nursing Home, Kitchener, on Thursday, May 8, 1986, George McCarthy, aged 85 years. Husband of the former Viola Stuckardt; father of Jeanne (Mrs. Peter Held) of Kitchener; brother of Louis of Kitchener, William of California, Marie Fahner of California, Sister Antoinette McCarthy, SSND, of Waterdown, Aliyce Adams of Michigan, Margaret (Mrs. Hugh McKerrecher) of Michigan and Rita (Mrs. Jack Rogers) of Windsor; grandfather of Joanne Held of Toronto, Kathryn Held at home and Robert Held of Toronto. Predeceased by brothers, Dennis, Jerome, Gerald and Leo and one sister, Agnes Daly. Mr. McCarthy was a member of St. Aloysius RC Church and a Fourth Degree member of the Kitchener Knights of Columbus. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Friday) from 2- 4 and 7-9 p.m. where parish prayers will be said Friday (today) at 8 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home, Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by the funeral mass at St. Aloysius RC Church at 10 a.m. Interment in Kitchener Mount Hope cemetery. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the Arthritis Society as expressions of sympathy.
