    • George H. Carthy, 313 King St. N., Waterloo, died Sunday at his home. He was 68.

      Born in Lancashire, England, June 24, 1899, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Carthy and had lived in Waterloo since 1914.

      He was a postal clerk at Kitchener post office for over 40 years. Mr. Carthy was a member of Holy Savior Anglican Church, Waterloo, a member of the Twin City Masonic Lodge and the Chapter and Preceptory.

      Surviving are two brothers, Joseph D. and Cyril, both of Kitchener; four sisters, Mrs. William (Eunice) Martin, Erbsville: Eileen, Waterloo; Mrs. Cyril (Beatrice) Schell and Mrs. Mervin (Phyllis) Karn, both of Kitchener.

      The body will be at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home until 1:45 Wednesday when removal will be made to Holy Saviour Church where Rev. Denton Massey will conduct the service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery.

      A Masonic service will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 8 p.m.

      The casket will be closed in the church. Friends are asked to pay their respects at the funeral home.
