Notes - BOURNE, George Wallace - Passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, January 24, 2006, at the St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener. Wally Bourne of New Hamburg and formerly of Washington, ON in his 86th year. Loving husband and best friend of Isabel (nee McDonald) whom he married January 2, 1943. Dear father of Gordon and wife Joanne of Mount Pleasant, Pat Ford of Oakville, Wayne and wife Judy of Ayr, and Bob and wife Jill of Tavistock. He will be sadly missed by his seven grandchildren and by his three great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Margaret and husband Harold Hastings of New Hamburg and brother John of Halifax. Predeceased by his parents Harry and Maude Bourne, brother Allan and sister Patricia. Wally was a life long member of the Washington United Church and worked at the Canada Sand Paper in Plattsville for 46 years. Relatives and friends may call at the Glendinning Funeral Home, 40 William St., Plattsville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted from the Washington United Church on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 2 p.m. Rev. Daniel MacLean officiating. Spring interment in Ayr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Washington United Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques accepted) would be appreciated by the Family.
