      Baby Abandoned With Sitter

When Mrs. Stanley Aniskwicz put an ad in the paper saying she would look after children in her home, she for got to set a time limit.
It now appears she has an abandoned baby on her hands.

About a week and a half ago a tiny woman with dirty blonde hair brought her five-month-old son to Mrs. Aniskwicz's home at 293 Frederick St. and said she would be back for him on the weekend. She never came back.

Mrs. Aniskwicz, who has four children of her own, isn't quite sure where her responsibility for the child lies.

"The child is definitely abandoned because she gave me so many wrong names and brought all his clothes," Mrs. Aniskwicz said:

The Children's Aid Society was able to trace the child's identity through the hospitals because he had a series of hernia operations.

Brian is now in St. Mary's Hospital undergoing allergy tests. Mrs. Aniskwicz said he may be allergic to milk.

Mrs. Aniskwicz wants to know who's responsible for the hospital bill. The CAS is investigating the situation.

"We have a clue now where his mother is living," Robert Shriver of the CAS said to-day.

"We saw her May 13. At that time she wanted to give the child up but she called back and said she had made private arrangements. We guess that's when she gave the baby to Mrs. Aniskwicz.

The baby will be released from the hospital this week and will be taken into the Aniskwicz home if the CAS says it's a suitable foster home.

"So far our investigation shows it will be a good home for the baby," Mr. Shriver said.
