  SMALLWOOD, Stanley Gordon (Stan) Passed away peacefully, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Wednesday, March 24, 1999, Stan Smallwood, in his 89th year. Stan was an honourary member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Enginers (IEEE). In 1945 he was the founder and president of Radio Coil Winding Specialities and later changed the name to S.G. Smallwood Ltd. He was currently chairman of S.G. Smallwood Inc. This was Stan's life-time work and hobby. Beloved husband of Emily for 62 years: dear father of Gordon Smallwood and his wife Mary Ann of Kitchener and Karen Krolouski (Smallwood) of Brantford: dear grandfather of Chad and Amanda Kroulouski, Arlan and Braelyn Smallwood. He was predeceased by his parents, Horace and Ivy Smallwood; two s isters, Evelyn Snowden and Neva Evans. Friends and relatives may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, on Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, at I p.m. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre.
