- HAROLD WELKER
Harold Welker, 34 died suddenly on Monday afternoon at the K-W Hospital where he had been a patient for several days. He was born in Perth County and was a graduate of the Listowel High School.
Mr. Welker resided in Kitchener and Waterloo for the past 15 years. He was employed at the Dominion Electrohome Company and later was associated with the Welker Industries of Waterloo.
Deceased was a charter and active member of the Kitchener Art Club. He was an artist of no mean note, specializing in oil paintings.
Surviving are his wife, the former Edna Carnochan of Elmira, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Welker of Listowel, and two sisters, Alma and Florence.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon from the Drei-singer Funeral Chapel at Elmira. Burial took place in Eimira Cemetery. The body rested at Letter-Dreisinger Funeral Chapel, Water-loo, until Wednesday, when it was taken to Elmira. Rev. John V. Mills, pastor of Knox Presbyterian Church, Waterloo, officiated.
