At the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Monday, May 31, 2004. Born in Toronto on December 1, 1922. Beloved husband of Jean (Elliot) for 54 years on June 3, 2004. Loving and beloved father of Bill, David and wife Linda, Jim and wife Barbara, Tom and wife Cathy and Ken and fiancee Brenda. Loving and beloved grandfather to Carly, Devin, Brandon, Kim and Michael. Harry became manager of the Galt Wood Heel in 1945, after getting his Bachelor of Commerce. In 1970, the heel factory was sold and Harry was transferred to the Retail Division of Savage Shoes. He later worked at Canada Last Co., as office manager, then moved to Bonnie Stuart. He retired in 1983. Harry was involved in the formation of the Canadian Independent Management Assoc. He earned his Certificate of Industrial Management, in 1959. Harry was a member of the Probus Club and the Redwood Bible Study Group of Central Presbyterian Church. He went to St. Timothy-on-the-Hill (Tim Horton's) Friday mornings, to meet with his friends. Harry had a great love for classical music and impressed his friends, children and grandchildren with his ability to play the classics by ear. He was an ardent sports fan, never missing "Breakfast at Wimbledon's" or other sporting events. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel, on Friday, June 4, 2004, at 1: 30 p.m., with Rev. Aubrey Botha officiating. Interment Parklawn Cemetery.
