Notes |
- SIMPSON, Helen Harwood
Helen passed away peacefully, in her 88th year on April 1, 2011, at Hilltop Manor. Predeceased by her parents, Jim and Jean and brothers Don and wife Adele, Bob and nephew Grant. She will be greatly missed by her niece, Patricia (Andy) and nephews John (Linda), Rick (Diane), Don (Judy) and Rob (Diane) and many other nieces and nephews. Helen was a long time resident of Galt and began her working years at the family sawmill business then moved on to the Canadian General Tower, where she retired after 45 years. She then took up the challenge of bridge and could be found playing in many of the local daytime groups. All her life she loved the theatre and she shared this passion with her family. Her quiet independent nature and no complaints attitude, made her very dear to all her family and friends. Throughout her life she was very active in her Church, Central Presbyterian, especially the choir, flower guild, greeter and supporter of all their activities. According to Helen's wishes a private family service was held on Monday, April 4, 2011, at the T. Little Funeral Home and Cremation Centre. Interment in Mount View Cemetery.
