      _____________

      MOUNT ELGIN FUNERAL.

One of the largest and most impressive funerals ever known in the Mount Elgin district was that of Dr. Henry M. Barrett, M.C., conducted Wednesday afternoon from his late residence, and marked by both Masonic and military honors. Rev. C. C. Strachan of Dereham Centre conducted the services and was assisted by Rev. J. S. Forsythe of Salford. Interment was in the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery. Many relatives and friends were present from Tillsonburg and other district points, and the Ingersoll and Tillsonburg branches of the Canadian Legion were represented. Many former associates of Dr. Barrett in the medical profession also attended.
