Notes |
- Herbert Robson is Victim of Auto Accident - The sad news was received by his mother, Mrs. James L. Robson, on Tuesday morning of the death at Alsask., Sask., of her son Herbert, who was injured in an automobile accident on Sunday morning. Deceased, who was about 35 years of age, was born here. When about 18 years old he secured employment with the Canadian Copper Company at Copper Cliff. He was later transferred by the company to Halifax. He enlisted at that point when the war broke out, and served for several years in Egypt. When in that country he contracted a severe attack of malaria fever, and, upon his arrival back home, he went west for the benefit of his health, settling at Alsask. The news of his sudden demise came as a great shock to his many friends here among whom he was held in high esteem. Besides his mother, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: John, Alsask; Morton, Ayr; Andrew, Oshawa; Mrs. John Easton, South Dumfries; Mrs. Wm. Marshall, Blenheim. The remains will be brought to Ayr for interment.
