  H. M. Root By Record Correspondent PRESTON, June 3. - Wellknown Preston resident for the past 35 years, Holsea Montague. Root, 75, died in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, yesterday, after an illness of 10 days. Born in Dunnville the late Mr. Root lived for a few years in Welland before coming to Preston. He was employed originally with the former Metal Shingle, now Eastern Steel Products, and for the past 28 years was employed with Clare Bros. He was a member of St. John's Anglican Church. His wife, the former Florence Culp, predeceased him in January. 1920. Surviving are five daughters, W. (Marjorie) McKittrick, Preston; Mrs. H. F. (Doris) King, Preston; Mrs. A. (Eleanor) Knowles, Preston; Mrs.Frank (Audrey) Corre, Port Colborne; Mrs. Carlton (Lillian) Fretz, Sherkston; two sons, Clayton, Hespeler, and Montague, Acton. Twelve grandchildren also survive. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass, Ltd., Funeral Home, Preston, where the funeral will be held on Monday at 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery..
