- Irene M. Ingison, 71, of 300 Village Dr., Syracuse, died Monday, December 5 at her home. Mrs. Ingison was known as "Ike" to her co-workers at the Conrail Yards in East Syracuse, where she worked 35 years as a Switch Tender, Brakeman, and Conductor until her retirement in 1979. She started with the New York Central Railroad as a Switch Tender and was made a Brakeman and an Engineer.
Surviving are a son, Richard J. Ingison of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Charles LaFlamme of Mattydale; a sister, Mary Batista of Fayetteville, NC.; 4 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were Saturday, December 3 at Welter-Price Funeral Home and in Blessed Sacrament Church with burial in Assumption Cemetery.
