  • Notes
    • Demise of Miss Stewart - Death has once more visited our midst and has claimed for its own one who is known to the entire community. We refer to Miss Isabella P. Stewart, who passed away on Monday forenoon, after an illness extending over a period of about two years. She was born at Greenfield and had lived here all her life. For some years she was a saleslady in one or other of the principal stores and was therefore widely known and highly esteemed as a young woman of exemplary traits of character and Christian virtues. She was a member of Stanley St. Church and a valued worker in several of the societies connected with that body. In her death both church and community lose one who could be ill spared and there are many sincere fiends who will drop a silent tear over her bier. She was the youngest daughter of the late Erskine and Isebella Stewart, and is survived by three brothers and two sisters. They are: Robert and Peter in Ottawa; Wm. D., Fairbanks, Alaska; Mrs. S. J. Finlayson and Mrs. E. McHutchion, Ayr. The funeral will take place on Thursday, December 14, at 3: 00 o'clock pm, from her late home to the Ayr cemetery.
