Notes |
- LARGE, FREDERICK ADDISON was born on August 5, 1877, the son of Jacob Large, Listowel. He graduated in medicine from the University of Toronto in 1903 and practised in Listowel until 1918. He then studied otolaryngology and ophthalmology in Detroit for four years, and then opened an office in Kitchener. The Daily Telegraph of April 20, 1922 remarked on this:
Begins Practice
Dr. F. A. Large has opened his professional offices at 73 Frederick street, which have recently been completely renovated.
Dr. Large has had a wide experience as an eye, ear nose and throat specialist, having been engaged in a successful practice in Detroit and Windsor for the past four years. He is a former resident of Listowel, and has many friends in the Twin City who will be pleased to learn that Dr. Large has located in this city.
His stay here was short and he moved to Windsor, probably later in 1922. He practised there until 1947 when he retired to Florida. He died in Detroit on March 28, 1964, at 88 years of age.
