- Jake was the son of Regina Strauss and Anthony Runstedler. Predeceased by a daughter Joanne, in infancy: one brother, Hubert: one sister Doretta Bratherton.
Survived by his wife of 44 years, Emmeline Marie Stemmler; loving father and father-in-law of Albert and Anne Runstedler of Drayton, Connie and Brian Voll of Kitchener, Rev. Terrence Runstedler of Woodstock, Mary Beth and Frank van Trigt of Owen Sound, Michael and Patricia Runstedler of Maryhill, Paula and Scott Smith of Atwood, Christopher and Barb Runstedler and John and Dawn-Marie Runstedler all of Hesson.
Remembered by siblings Irene Geier of Cambridge, Eleanor Kroetsch and Shirley Lessard of Waterloo, Walter Runstedler of Drayton, Gerard Runstedler of Linwood, Monica Witmer of St.Jacobs and Rose Downey of Elmira.
Jake was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for 50 years. More than anything Jake loved the Lord. He was a proud Catholic and a wonderful provider, husband and father. He had a great love for the poor and unborn. Jake was a faithful member of St Mary's RC Church. He was one of the founding fathers of Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton. Jake and Emmy were volunteer workers for Canadian Food For Children, founded by Dr. Andrew Simone of Toronto.
