    • Richmond Dies From Injuries - A Washington man died at St. Mary's Hospital early Sunday of injuries received a week ago in a car-train collision which also took the life of his fiancée. Dead is James C. Richmond of Washington, in his 23rd year. His fiancée, Marion Joy Miller of Baden, was pronounced dead at the scene of the April 19th accident on Wilmot Township Road 14, a half-mile south of Highway 7-8B, near Baden. They were to have been married this summer. He had been a student at Guelph University for the past 4 years. Born at Washington, Ontario, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Richmond, he had lived near Washington all his life. Surviving besides his parents are three brothers, Robert, Geoffrey and Rodger, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Garry (Carolyn) Gibbons, New Hamburg and Rosemary at home; maternal grandmother, Mrs. R. J. Smith, Fairfield, Ontario. The funeral service was held from the Glendinning Funeral Home, Plattsville, on Tuesday, April 28th at 2: 30 p.m. Burial was in Ayr Cemetery. Rev. H. D. Pillen of Washington United Church officiated. Pallbearers were Douglas Kempthorne, Rick Kaufman, Roger Shantz, Ronald Montgomery, Bruce Hundt and Donald Kreager. Flower bearers were William Thomson, Bruce Richmond, John Shepard and Murray Shepard.
